And here it is. More than 10cm in some places in Bathwick Woods (well the fields in front of Bathwick Woods, the woods themselves have less snow). A few people braving it while it's still snowing to go sledding, or walk the dogs. I didn't see any other photographers but then again this spot is a bit difficult to get to even if you live in the area - I had to squeeze between a tree and the end of a barbed-wire fence to get into the field. But it was worth it for the view. I only hope that before it all melts we get a blue-sky day so I can get some even better photos.
I also, for the first time, have seen individual snow flakes. Sadly I don't have a macro lens for my camera so I couldn't get any really close up shots of the flakes but seeing them was something special for me. This is probably the best snowfall I've seen in England, so I'm a very happy South African.
