I would like to introduce you to a very special bird. You might say, it's only a robin. And yes, I would have to concede it is only a robin. But he's a beautiful robin who has given me some great close up shots I never thought I'd be able to get.
I was clearing some roots in my garden this morning and this robin showed up to the buffet that I dug up for him. I couldn't see any bugs. But they were obviously there. The robin was not too shy and was happy to hop around very close to me. So I fetched my camera and here's the result.
He's a photogenic little robin. There was another one that appeared a bit later who was very scruffy and not as friendly. I won't apologise for the number of photos - I couldn't decide and he gave me so many poses!
Such a giant worm for such a tiny bird! It was gone quicker than I could blink.
Must have been one of those solitary bumblebees he found because I saw no bees this morning!
